The Patrol boat was built by order of the Municipality of Amsterdam in 1995 and has always served as a boat for surveillance and enforcement in the inner city of Amsterdam. The current name is WN1-Waterpieper and the boat was built in 1995 at Wouter Nieuwveld Scheepsbouw BV in Amsterdam. It is a diesel-powered boat equipped with a John Deere 4045 TFM 84 KW engine.
The boat has a spacious outside cockpit, in which the engine room is located. This is easily accessible through a hatch. The cabin is equipped with a small pantry and toilet and a spacious seating area/workplace.
The boat has inside and outside steering.
The boat has been out of the water last year for maintenance of the underwater hull and is in reasonably good condition despite its age and use.
Current Condition: The boat is operational and can be used.
There are a few areas of concern for maintenance: Painting of superstructure, hydraulic steering inside and outside needs to be reviewed. Drive shaft flange needs to be replaced. The exhaust has to be checked.
Environmental aspects: The boat is built according to the 1995 standard. The boat will be phased out due to the age and the diesel engine which means that the boat is no longer allowed to sail in the inner city of Amsterdam from 2025.
